Our Story
1940 – Khater Frères was established in Beirut, specialized in Heating, Plumbing & Drainage works and was affiliated in Damascus (Syria) with Chammas & Khater Company.
1960 to 1968 – The company operated as Ets. Halim Khater and extended its activities for carrying out design and installation of Air-conditioning Works.
1970 – Antoine H. Khater joined & managed the company.
1972 – The Company enlarged its area of operations to contribute to the development of the Middle East & the Gulf Regions in the field of Mechanical Contracting. In Bahrain, the Company opened a registered branch under the sponsorship of Arabian Establishment for Technical Contracting, owned by Mr. Farouk Y. Almoayed. In Qatar, the Company conducted its operations under the sponsorship of Mannai Trading Company, owned by Mr. Ahmed Mannai. In UAE, the Company operated as a joint venture with Air et Chaleur, Brussels.
1979 – Khater-France sarl was established as an affiliated company in Paris in order to provide sufficient backup from Europe for its international operations and ensure a proper coordination of its diverse activities with adequate supply of material and technical support.
1983 – Khater Engineering and Trading (KET) was founded in Beirut by Antoine Khater & Marie-Louise Khater, maintaining decades of expertise and accumulated experience in Design & Installation of HVAC, Plumbing and Controls systems.
2003 – Antoine Makhoul & Marie Abboud joined the management cadre of Khater Engineering and Trading sal.

Personnel
KET places high regard on quality human resources and has since its foundation steadily built up a cadre of permanent staff who are able to utilize modern technology and advanced management information systems to carry out its responsibilities to the highest acceptable standards. KET staff is always on continuous formation, internally and abroad (France, USA, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Belgium,…).
The workforce comprises technical, financial, administrative and specialized expertise. Emphasis is placed on the quality of employees who are encouraged to work as a team through the Company’s internal program of education and training.
KET’s policy in recruitment is selective and systematic. The staff is upgraded in their skills through opportunities made available through the Company’s organization and procedures.
